What we're looking for

The Digital Marketing Specialist is responsible for developing and executing the content strategy for the email marketing channel and support marketing automation. This position supports and executes marketing, promotional, sponsorship and partnerships and liaises with merchandising, operations, analytics, communications and advertising.

  • Two (2) years’ experience in Digital Marketing. • Strong experience with SEO, PPC, Google AdWords, other digital tools and concepts. • Experience with WordPress and Marketing Automation software (ie Hubspot) strongly preferred • Experience with Analytics in Digital marketing • Strong Written and Verbal Communication Skills. • Attention to Detail , Self-Motivated, Team-Oriented, and Goal-Oriented

What you'll need to bring

  • Supports & executes marketing, promotional and sponsorship and partnershipsliaising with merchandising, operations, communications, analytics and advertising.
  • Work with agency partners on Google AdWords Search, Display, Video and App campaigns, including (not limited to) audience targeting, keyword research and selection, ad group structuring, ad copy writing and landing page testing and optimization.
  • Measure and report oncampaigns throughout the funnel to identify optimization opportunities across audience targeting ad creative and copy, landing page creative and copy, and the website.
  • Keep abreast of new social media sites, web technologies, and digital marketing trends; implement these new technologies in developing campaigns and update current campaigns to include new information.
  • Day-to-day management & execution of marketing programs including advertising planning, creative/messaging, consumer promotions and merchandising for the needs of the brands.
  • Supports local store initiatives, priority market strategies and may assist with planning & executing new store and store re-opening marketing plans
  • Partners with key stakeholders (e.g., creative, production, marketing, stores, suppliers) to ensure effective communication and implementation of promotional plans.
  • Liaise and communicate with supplier partners on joint marketing promotions.
  • Integrate ideas and feedback from all internal and external resources regarding new marketing concepts and programs for banners.
  • Assists with post analysis of programs to ensure objectives are achieved & provide recommendations to improve marketing programs & sponsorships.
  • Supports Manager, Marketing with other projects as required.

Nice to have

  • Post-secondary education or equivalent experience in Marketing or Business.
  • 2-3 years’ experience working in a marketing role.
  • Proficiency with PC applications (primarily MS Excel, Word and PowerPoint).
  • Ability to travel to retail stores and sponsorship activations within Western Canada.
  • Knowledge of, and experience using common customer retention marketing toolsets and channels: email/ CRM and Web/.com.
