What we're looking for

Noise Digital is a performance marketing company that leverages the power of data and technology to help brands sell more products and services.   We work with innovative brands like Destination BC, Whirlpool, OLG, Metrolinx and A&W as well as D2C start-ups.  We are looking for a Director of Business Development to uncover new client opportunities for Noise that will help us hit and exceed our aggressive growth targets. 

Our preferred candidate has a track record of building strong, genuine business relationships with leaders in companies ranging from start-ups to Fortune 1000. They must have a passion for all things Digital - strategy, media, ad-etch and marketing - and feel comfortable speaking with Executives about how digital technology can transform their company and create new revenue streams.

We are open to the location of the candidate, but being located in Los Angeles, Seattle, Toronto, or Vancouver is ideal.

What you'll do

  • Reporting to the CEO, the Director of Business Development’s focus will be in developing a territory sales plan including key targets and stakeholders
  • Perform outreach to prospects and decision makers
  • Build relationships and plans with the sales reps from our Alliance partners -software firms, agencies, service firms and VCs
  • Qualify new opportunities along with sales support team
  • Lead internal pitch teams on proposal development and pitch presentations
  • Work closely with Client Services to close deals and negotiate business terms
  • Collaborate with Marketing and Alliances on campaigns and events
  • Build awareness and generate leads by attending networking events
  • Followup on Noise marketing campaigns and inbound leads

What you'll need to bring

  • At least 5 years’ experience in acquiring new clients for a digital agency, Ad-tech or Mar-tech company, studio, management consulting or e-commerce agency.
  • A proven hunter and networker with a track record of meeting and exceeding revenue targets
  • Prior experience closing 1M+ services contracts in following industries: Direct toConsumer, Consumer Goods, Retail, e-Commerce, Media/Entertainment, FinancialServices, Insurance, and Gaming.
  • A strategic relationship builder and great listener who can quickly develop trust and build rapport
  • Entrepreneurial, collaborative, and an adept negotiator
  • Solid interpersonal skills – you’re comfortable working alongside technical directors, salespeople, designers, and CEOs alike
  • A natural storyteller with the ability to take clients on a journey
