Junior Accountant

What we're looking for

We are looking to hire a Junior Accountant to join our Finance team. In this role, you will be working closely with the Corporate Controller and will be responsible for the full cycle accounts payable and ensure application of sound accounting principles / practices.

What you'll do

  • Post vendor bills and employee expense reports
  • Reconcile corporate credit card
  • Track and reconcile project expenses
  • Assist in the preparation of the monthly financial reporting package
  • Organize and file records
  • Respond to requests for financial information from other departments
  • Support Corporate Controller and CFO with adhoc tasks and other duties as assigned

What you'll need to bring

  • Post-secondary education with an accounting background
  • Minimum of 2 years of relevant work experience in full-cycle accounting
  • Work experience in project accounting is strongly preferred
  • Experience in working with an ERP system
  • Good working knowledge of Excel
  • Detail oriented, organized and able to meet tight deadlines
  • Self-motivated, results driven, prefers to work in a fast-paced dynamic environment
  • Effective written and interpersonal communication skills
